In a 6 week project, I worked with Morphy Richards to design a system to introduce a circular economy within their product line, minimising their total waste output and negative environmental impact. I designed a product designed to be paired with the user's phone to encourage regular maintenance.
After a discussion with the company's Design and Innovation Manager, we determined that the largest issue with the product line was the lack of communication with the user. I researched how various products communicate with the user, and drew up some quick sketches to illustrate methods of removing filters and brushes.
Before designing the app to be used with the product, I first researched the brand's existing app, designed to help users find recipes for their cooking products. The app looks extremely densely packed, however there were some design elements I wanted to incorporate in my own app.
